  • ○ Richtpreis 25.00

TONTON startet in die fünfte Saison w/

Masha Ten & Agonis
Juan Awile & Tejus Menon
Rhodia with atmosphere Sounds und freuen uns sehr darauf!

Agonis derives from the greek agon, which refers to an “assembly, a mass of people brought together” and the verb agein, “to put in motion, move”. A molecule that activates a receptor to produce a biological response, a muscle that contracts, a gathering that moves.
Raised with the sounds of Detroit techno and UK breaks & dubstep, the co-founder of Amenthia Recordings has carved out a signature sound that fuses vintage feels with the crystalline sounds of a speculative future’s past. EPs and tracks released on Midgar, Smoke Machine, Kynant, his native Amenthia, and her Basel-based sister label A Walking Contradiction showcase exquisite rhythm experiments that range from bitter-sweet ambient to UK-infused breaks to niche 4×4 bangers.
Perfected over years of performing live from Turtle Island’s West Coast to the Eastern edge of the Eurocentric world map and the territories now referred to as Australia, his sonic alchemy culminated in his first album Neutropia.
Perception has evolved through an excess of stimuli, and that excess is now our greatest asset.

Juan Awile (he/him) creates soundscapes for both somatic dancefloors and transcendental states of consciousness. He manipulates sounds that explore the perception of movement, time, space, memory, and the imagination of a future past.
Coming from the global south, activism plays a significant role in his life. As a result, his artistic practice often ranges from subversive critiques of hypercapitalist club culture to an unapologetic advocacy for the oppressed.
Juan’s work spans music that transcends genre boundaries, mixed-media pieces, and contributions to the community fabric within club culture. For him, resistance is key—in art practices and beyond.

Tejus Menon (he/they) is a performer and dance maker from Kerala/New Delhi, based in Bern, Switzerland.
He creates works for public space and for the stage, with a focus on post-colonial stereotypes. He has shown work at the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, far° festival Nyon, Tanzhaus Zürich, Serendipity Arts Goa and the India Art Fair. He is part of the Danse et Dramaturgie Programme for 2024-26, co-elected by the Tanzhaus Zürich and is a recipient of the DanceWeb Scholarship at Impulstanz Vienna 2025. He is also engaged with the artistic collective Spazio 500 in Italy as a host, performer, chef and gardener.

Rhodia is a producer and DJ whose sound bridges the visceral and the cerebral. Rooted in the club music’s rich electronic lineage—from UK-based genres such as dubstep, jungle, drum & bass—his early influences also span techno, IDM, and ambient. This diverse background fuels a dynamic range: from bass-heavy, dancefloor-oriented rhythms to introspective sonic landscapes far removed from the club. Whether through deep, meditative textures or high-impact grooves, Rhodia’s work explores states of transcendence—a strong focus on sound design and sonic detail underpins his musical vision, where texture becomes narrative. His output aims to invite immersion—each layer shaped to blur the line between listening and feeling.
Based in Bern, Rhodia is actively involved in the local club and music scene, contributing to it through projects like the Kosmos collective, CRTTR Records, and the Rauschen collective. Through these platforms, he aimes to create spaces for experimental sound and community-driven musical exchange.
